Saturday, November 7th at Anchorage Park in North Palm Beach, come join the fun at the Bright Futures Academy 1st Annual "Salute the Troops" 5K Run/Walk. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Race begins at 9:30 a.m. $250 prizes will be awarded to best males and females in the top categories including best time in BDU's (camo and boots)! Fifty percent of the proceeds go to the Special Forces Scholarship Fund, the Traumatic Brain Injury Association for continued medical care of the wounded, and Guide Dogs for Military Veterans. The rest will benefit the Civil Air Patrol and Model United Nations programs at the school. Pre-register and save. Adults $25. Children $10.  "Cell Phones for Soldiers" will also be on hand to collect orphaned cell phones and phone minute card donations for use by actively deployed personnel.  Get out and move it for the guys and gals that are responsible for you having a weekend to enjoy with your family and friends.  USA!
