Deputies searching for two female suspects wanted for attempted abduction of 1-year-old

Deputies are searching for two female suspects who they say attempted to abduct a 1-year-old child in suburban West Palm Beach Thursday morning. 

The incident happened at 9:46 a.m. in the 2800 block of Nokomis Ave. 

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the mother was in front of her residence vacuuming her vehicle with the child strapped to her back when a female dressed in black tried to grab her baby.

Officials say the victim was able to fight off the female suspect. The suspect fled to an waiting silver 4-door Honda. 

The first suspect is described as a heavy-set, white female, approximately 5 foot 2 inches to 5 foot 3 inches tall, wearing a long black sleeved t-shirt, black pants and a black hood covering her entire head, where only her eyes could be seen. 

The second suspect, who remained in the vehicle, was also described as a heavy-set white female, with light -colored brown hair, wearing dark sunglasses. 

The motive of the incident is unknown at this time.
