Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was charged with reckless driving after traveling 110 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 75 in Collier County on Dec. 28, 2013.
NAPLES, Fla. - Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was arrested Saturday morning in Florida for reckless driving, according to a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol.
Lt. Greg Bueno said 23-year-old Puig was traveling 110 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 75 in Collier County.
Puig, in a 2013 Mercedes, had three other people in the car with him at the time of the incident, said Bueno.
None of the other people were arrested. The arrest occurred at 9:30 a.m.
Puig was taken to the Collier County Naples Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
This is his second reckless driving charge of the year. In April, he was caught going 97 mph in a 50 mph zone in Tennessee while he was a member of the Dodgers' Double-A team in Chattanooga.
