UFC fighter Thiago Silva charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in Florida

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. - A famous Ultimate Fighting Championship competitor has been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after an incident in Broward County on Thursday night.

According to police, UFC fighter Thiago Silva threatened people at a jiu-jitsu studio in Oakland Park, Fla., then barricaded himself inside his home.

A SWAT team had to be called in as deputies tried to get Silva out of his home.

No one was hurt.
