The Jupiter High School volleyball team is closing in on its first state title

JUPITER, Fla. -- Only one Palm Beach County school remains alive in the hunt for a volleyball state title.

To no one's surprise it is Jupiter.

The Warriors have suffered only two losses this season and have taken down nationally-ranked teams such as Boca Raton and Wellington.

Jupiter (26-2) will take on Winter Park on Thursday in the 8A state semifinals at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee.

Blane Betz, now in his 14th season as Jupiter's head coach, has led the Warriors to their previous two appearances (2003 & 2007) at the state tournament.

Neither squad returned with a championship trophy.

ESPN 106.3 on WPTV's Emerson Lotzia catches up with the girls before they take off for Kissimmee.
