Leslie swell hits Florida, photo sesh

Lazy Leslie's slow movement helped create the perfect conditions for a week long wave pumping machine.

Long period swell greeted offshore winds most of the time along the Florida coast.  I spent the weekend in Cocoa, and although most of the waves were close-outs, it was fun to have some actual size out there.  It was amazing seeing all the lines corduroy'd to the horizon.

A short drive to the south Monday showed big open lines, with some barrels to be had at 2nd light.

Elsewhere, our local photogs and national mags were all over it.  Here is a list of all the features I found from the Leslie swell.

Rich of Hybrid Photography spent more time driving up and down I 95 this week then he has working for the past year.  He posted three albums on Facebook.  Click the picture to see each album.
