PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - It's one of the most popular shellfish dishes in South Florida. But, you have only one more week to enjoy stone crabs!
The last day of harvesting stone crab claws in Florida is May 15th. The season closes each year during the species' peak spawning season to help protect our supply of stone crabs.
Stone crab traps must be removed from the water within five days after the close of the season.
You can mark your calendars for October 15th, when the season opens again.
