TEQUESTA, Fla. - What turned out to be a disappointing day diving off the coast of Jupiter, turned into a happy ending for a diver.
Norman Hirsch says he's been diving for more than 40 years and enjoys taking pictures under the sea.
On Wednesday, he lost his underwater camera while taking pictures of a goliath grouper near a popular wreck. But, by the time he went to another wreck he realized he had lost his camera.
He couldn't swim back because of the location and the current so, Hirsch contacted Emerald Dive Charters to find out if their divers could find the camera.
"I broadcast on the radio and then the next day they found the camera," says Randy Jordan.
All of Hirsch's pictures were recovered. For Hirsch it was an unforgettable experience.
"The fact that the dive companies are competing and coordinated with other companies, that's good stuff," says Hirsch.
