Miami Heat Rashard Lewis: NBA All-Star will sign with NBA Champions according to his agent

MIAMI-- Two-time NBA All-Star Rashard Lewis will sign with the Miami Heat, according to his agent.

Agent Tony Dutt said Lewis has "agreed to terms" to play in Miami next season. Lewis will sign for the veteran's minimum of $1.3 million. A 14-year veteran, Lewis spent last season with the Washington Wizards before being traded to the New Orleans Hornets during the NBA Draft.

The Hornets then bought out his contract, thus making Lewis a free agent. Lewis was twice named an All-Star during his time with the Seattle Supersonics and Orlando Magic in 2005 and 2009, respectively.

July 11 is the first day free agents can sign contracts.
