Jupiter's Ronnie Healy is taking a unique approach to reaching his dreams of playing pro baseball

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Jupiter Farms' Ronnie Healy is a left-handed, power hitting catcher who can hit 95 mph on the radar gun.

He's what you would call a baseball scouts dream.

But Healy is taking an unconventional approach to reaching his goal of playing professional baseball.  In December, halfway through his senior year, he dropped out of Jupiter High School.

He decided to turn his attention to preparing for June's MLB Draft.  That's when he joined the Elev8 Sports Institute , formerly known as the Bucky Dent Baseball Academy, in Delray Beach.
