The Miami Dolphins completed an improbable 30-15 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Miami entered the contest as underdogs and with little expectation of a win. The Dolphins were 1-4 when the game began, and the Steelers were 4-1. On paper, the game looked like a mismatch in favor of Pittsburgh, but Miami quickly showed it could take this one.

The Dolphins still have plenty of work to do in order to turn their season around, but this game could be seen as a potential momentum shift. Miami has ten games remaining and will need wins in the majority of them to reach the playoffs.

After Pittsburgh took an 8-3 lead, Miami scored 20 unanswered points. A 13-0 advantage in the second quarter helped propel the Dolphins to the much-needed win. Miami would continue the excellent play after halftime to secure the victory.

All three of Miami's touchdowns came on the ground with two from Jay Ajayi and one via Damien Williams. Ajayi led the Dolphins with 204 yards on the ground in easily his best game of the season. Arian Foster was limited to only three carries for three yards. Ajayi's last run of the game was a 62-yard dash for a TD following a failed onside try by the Steelers.

Ryan Tannehill had a solid day even without finding the end-zone. Miami's quarterback went 24-32 on his pass tries for 252 yards and a 97.4 passer rating.

Defensively, the Dolphins stepped up and intercepted Ben Roethlisberger twice. Reshad Jones and Isa Abdul-Quddus each came down with a pick for Miami.

Miami will stay home and host the Buffalo Bills next Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
