MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- University of Alabama fans celebrated their team's big win into the early morning hours in South Florida.
The team beat Notre Dame's Fighting Irish 42-14 Monday night in the BCS Championship Game, played at Sunlife Stadium.
Irish fans say they were disappointed with the loss, but say they were happy their team made it that far to the championship game.
Team members of the Crimson Tide stayed at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach. The hotel has about 1,500 rooms and all of them are booked. Employees say the hotel is mostly filled with Alabama fans, who followed the team to South Florida.
Fans could be spotted in the hotel lobby around 5 a.m., celebrating their team's win. Many were also checking out early to catch flights back.
