BOCA RATON, Fla. - Arkansas defensive line coach Charlie Partridge has been offered the head coaching position at Florida Atlantic University and may accept the final offer as early as Sunday, according to OwlAccess.com and multiple media outlets.
FAU Athletic Director Pat Chun interviewed Partridge on Friday.
Chun is also believed to have interviewed Ohio State assistant coach Stan Drayton.
Partridge is known as one of the top recruiters of South Florida talent.
He spent one year with the Razorbacks after five seasons with Wisconsin.
It is believed Partridge could finalize a contract with FAU as early as Sunday and that a public announcement could be made early in the week.
FAU has been looking for a successor to Carl Pelini who was fired October 31.
Offensive coordinator Brian Wright served as interim coach, but was told last week that he would not be retained as head coach.
