BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University introduced new head football coach Charlie Partridge Tuesday morning.
Most recently he was assistant head coach/defensive line coach at the University of Arkansas.
"This is a tremendous honor," the South Florida native said.
Partridge has 17 years of college experience. He previously worked at Drake University, Iowa State University, Eastern Illinois University, the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Wisconsin.
Partridge replaces Carl Pelini who was fired in October.
The Owls won its last four games and Partridge said that impressed him.
"Followed by the staff that went on an amazing run the last four games, I recognize what you guys did under very, very trying circumstances. And all the players, incredible job. So to build on that foundation we're very, very excited and can't wait to get moving," Partridge said.
