JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Last night proved that the rivalry between Florida State and Florida is more than just in football.
The benches cleared during Tuesday night’s baseball game between the two schools.
It all started when a FSU player hit a ball up the first base line in the 8th inning and collided with UF's pitcher.
When the runner got on base, the first baseman got in his face and the two started shoving each other.
Heisman Trophy winning quarterback and pitcher Jameis Winston had to be held back by a police officer during the fight.
No punches appear to have been thrown, but there were lots of shoving, shouting and players being held back.
Florida won the game 4-1.
