Aaron Hernandez photo removed from NFL Pro Hall of Fame after complaints from football fans

CANTON, Ohio - Another way the NFL and football world are distancing themselves from murder suspect and former NFL player Aaron Hernandez.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has removed a photo of the former New England Patriots star after several visitors complained about the picture.

Hernandez has been charged with the June 17 shooting death of Odin Lloyd.

The tight end has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder and five gun-related charges.

The 2010 photo of Hernandez scoring a touchdown was an award-winning image from the annual Hall of Fame photo contest.

The Patriots released Hernandez from the team after his arrest last month.

Last weekend, Patriots fans were allowed to exchange their "Hernandez" jerseys for another Patriots' replica jersey.

More than 1,000 fans took advantage of the team's offer.
