Hundreds of lawsuits are still being filed over a federal law that's been on the books for over two decades.

It's The Americans with Disabilities Act, aimed at providing access for people with disabilities.

People like Joe Houston who has been paralyzed from the chest down since the age of 18, admits he goes to local businesses to test them.

If he feels the business isn't complying with the law, he doesn't complain first, he files a lawsuit.

Consumer Watchdog Jenn Strathman looks at the issue and asks why so many lawsuits are being filed.
