A fight on the Choptank River Saturday could have had deadly consequences, according to police.
A nearby boater captured the violent altercation between two men on video. As the men repeatedly pummel each other a passenger on the boat recording the fight can be heard calling law enforcement, “We now have a fight on board the vessel and we’re going to have two drunk people in the water pretty soon, ” the boater tells a dispatcher. The men involved in the fight were not wearing life preservers.

Department of Natural Resources Police said charges are pending.
