Yudenia Rodriguez of southwest Miami-Dade, is accused of stabbing her mother to death during a fight over the weekend.
MIAMI (AP) -- A judge has ordered a psychological evaluation of a 40-year-old woman accused of fatally stabbing her mother.
During a bond court appearance in Miami on Monday, Yudenia Rodriguez asked the judge to remove her handcuffs, said her mother didn't die and fell asleep in the courtroom.
Police say 65-year-old Sonia Santiesteban asked Rodriguez to leave her house on Saturday.
Miami Herald reports Rodriguez pushed her mother to the ground. When her 15-year-old niece tried to call 911, Rodriguez took the phone and hit her niece.
Police say she then grabbed the knife and stabbed her mother who used a wheelchair
She faces second-degree murder, child abuse and tampering with a witness charges and is being held without bail.
