The end of Daylight Saving Time is fast approaching

It's almost time to 'fall back'

TAMPA - When does Daylight Saving Time end in 2011? It's a question many have been asking.

Since 2007, Daylight Saving Time, or DST for short, begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November.

Most, but not all, states and U.S. territories observe DST.

November 6 is the first Sunday in November this year, so you will turn your clocks back one hour at 2:00 Sunday morning, November 6.

That doesn't mean you have to stay up late or rise early just to change your clocks. Many people simply change it just before they retire for the evening on Saturday night.

It also means an extra hour of sleep.

In addition, the U.S. Fire Administration encourages you to test your home smoke alarms and replace the batteries if more than one year old.
