MARION COUNTY, Fla. - A Florida inmate is facing charges of battery on a law enforcement officer after he was caught on camera Friday punching a corrections officer and slamming him into the ground.
The inmate was asked three times to move but he refused.
He was warned he would be peppered sprayed and when he is hit with the foam, video shows him attacking the officer.
The inmate threw a right punch and then bear-hugged the officer, slamming him to the ground.
It took three more officers a few seconds to pull the inmate off.
The officer hit his head on a metal bench when he was thrown to the ground, nd it's unclear if he suffered any injuries.
