VERO BEACH, Fla. - Thomas Solomon is being held in the Indian River County Jail after being arrested by the Indian River County Sheriff's Office on sex trafficking charges.
Deputies say that Solomon would supply women with drugs and then make them work as prostitutes to pay him back.
Solomon, according to his arrest report, would keep all of the money the women earned from commercial sex and would use violence to force the women to give him money and make them stay.
Deputies say that Solomon would use apartments at Parkway Plaza 2001 US 1, the Quality Inn 950 US 1 and the Howard Johnson hotel 1700 US 1 for prostitution.
Solomon, according to investigators, used websites commonly used for prostitution to get clients for the women he controlled.
Solomon was arrested late Friday afternoon in an undercover drug operation planned by Indian River County Sheriff's detectives.
Deputies say that Solomon was arrested on the outstanding warrant of human trafficking.
He was also charged with trafficking morphine, felony possession of a controlled substance Dilaudid, felony possession of cocaine, distribution of a controlled substance (cocaine), felony aggravated child abuse, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Solomon is being held on $545,000.00 bond.
