MIAMI, Fla. - A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death Friday evening of a 10-year-old boy in a Miami nail salon, according to a media release from the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Anthawn Ragan was arrested at a family member's residence on Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm as well as other felonies, including battery on a law enforcement officer after becoming violent during his arrest, police said.
Aaron Vu and his father, 42-year-old Hai Vu, were critically wounded after two armed men stormed the Hong Kong Nail Salon Friday evening, robbed the business and customers and opened fire as they fled from the salon. Aaron died at the hospital. His father remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Police said surveillance video captured the images of the subjects. Ragan's face was clearly seen on the video but the second suspect had a short red-shirt over his face and has not been identified.
