One of the stars of the hit 2015 movie ‘Straight Outta Compton’ found himself behind bars in South Florida after an alleged assault caught on camera inside a Sunny Isles Beach hotel.
Officers responded to the Marenas Beach Resort off Collins Avenue and 187th Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. Sunday night after a call about a fight in the lobby area.
According to witnesses, 40-year-old Richard Taylor got into a fight with a security guard after he was told to take his feet off of a table. Taylor allegedly got up and shoved the guard multiple times before the guard fought back and the two had to be separated.
Taylor was arrested and charged with battery. He was given a bond of $1,500 and is expected to be in court Monday afternoon.
Taylor played the role of recording executive ‘Suge’ Knight in the story of the 1980s hip-hop group N.W.A., which included such members as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Easy-E.
