HOLLYWOOD, FL--A 40-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after she lost control of her SUV and crashed into a light pole and a school bus Monday morning, police said. No children on the bus were hurt.

The woman, who has not been identified, was driving a gold Lexus SUV westbound in the 5500 block of Taft Street when she hit a light pole at about 8 a.m., police Lt. Manny Marino said.

Her SUV then struck the front of a stopped school bus and rolled over at the intersection with North 56th Avenue, Marino said.

The school bus driver and two children on the bus were not injured, police said.

Firefighters pulled the woman out of the SUV and took her to Memorial Regional Hospital with leg injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
