New evidence in fake kidnapping

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL -- Police say they have an audiotape that disproves a 37-year-old housewife's claims that she was abducted from her posh Florida beach community by a 25-year-old mechanic.

Investigators say the audiotape proves Quinn Gray plotted the kidnapping with Jasmin Osmanovic, who police say was her lover. St. John's County Sheriff David Shoar says Gray and Osmanovic can be heard having sex and plotting their extortion scheme on the tape.

Authorities in Ponte Vedra say Gray's 38-year-old husband, Reid Gray, found a note from his wife on September 4th. The note said three men wanted him to deliver a ransom of $50,000 -- and he was not to involve the police.

However, Reid Gray is standing by his wife in the bizarre case, paying for her legal defense as she and Osmanovic face extortion charges.
