FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- An airplane crashed into a fence at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on Wednesday, but none of its eight occupants were hurt, a fire official said.
The plane, a Cessna Citation, had trouble during takeoff and struck a fence at 9:50 a.m. near the southeast end of the airport, at Northwest 15th Avenue and Northwest 52nd Street, according to Matt Little, spokesman for Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.
"The front wheel is gone, and there is some nose damage," Little said.
Two crew members and six passengers were on board, Little said.
"They're all accounted for with no injuries," Little said.
The Federal Aviation Administration was expected to arrive and investigate, Little said.
