A relaxing swim in the Bahamas turned out to be a scary moment for a 19-year-old Instagram model.
Model and nursing student Katarina Zarutskie was swimming in Staniel Cay in the Bahamas when she was bitten on the wrist.
Photos taken by her boyfriend's father, show Zarutskie floating around a group of nurse sharks. Suddenly one the sharks took an interest on her arm and then quickly chomped down on her wrist.
The shark then pulled her into the water. Luckily she was able to free herself.
She was treated with stitches and antibiotics by doctors in Florida.
Zarutskie, who attends the University of Miami, says she got into the water with the nurse sharks because locals were feeding them and assured her that it was safe to swim.
