TAMPA, Fla. - A dog that was recently set on fire is slowly recovering at a Tampa animal clinic.
The 1-year-old mixed breed nicknamed “Hope” has burns on 70 percent of her body.
Her owner is accused of setting the animal on fire. Staff at the clinic said the next few days are critical for her survival.
"Infections, she could be dealing with issues with her eyes (which are) pretty burned. She might not be able to see long term," said John Gicking of Blue Pearl Trauma Center.
