POLK COUNTY, Fla. - A riot erupted from a basketball game at a juvenile detention center in Central Florida.The violence caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.
Polk County authorities say a fight broke out after a basketball game and escalated into a riot.
Sheriff's deputies, Florida Highway Patrol, SWAT and K-9 teams were brought in to regain control.
They say the teens trashed facilities and set fires, destroying 18 of the 20 buildings at the complex.
