A bill that would allow victims of terror acts the right to sue in Florida is two votes away from heading to Governor Rick Scott's desk.

Current law only allows victims of specific criminal activity to do so, and many acts of terrorism don't fall under the legal umbrella.

If signed into law, the bill will allow victims of terrorist attacks, such as the Orlando nightclub massacre, to recover damages of at least $2,000 and attorney's fees.
