Pensacola robbery suspect violently punches female clerk in the face (VIDEO)

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Warning: This surveillance video may be disturbing to some viewers.

Surveillance video recorded Wednesday afternoon at a Pensacola store shows a man violently punching a female clerk in the face and then robbing the business.

Police said a man walked into a Boost Mobile store, put his phone in his pocket, reached across the counter and punched the employee in the face.

The video shows the employee fall to the floor, and the man then goes behind the counter and demands that she tell him how to open the cash drawer.

The attacker then fills his pockets with cash, takes the store phone and walks out.

The employee was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Media outlets in Pensacola said police received a tip about the suspect's location Thursday morning and were able to arrest him.

Vincent Lavon Johnson, 41, of Pensacola, was taken into custody around 8:15 a.m. Thursday. He was charged with felony battery, strong-arm robbery and burglary.
