It has been an especially happy New Year for Breonda Davis, who welcomed her third child early New Year's Day.
"I started labor at 1:00 a.m., and got here at 1:30 a.m., and I just started pushing," said Davis.
Her daugher, Zariyah Cyus, was born at 2:34 a.m.
Little Zariyah was the first baby of 2014 born at Good Samaritan Hospital.
"I'm pretty excited, it has been a blessing, so I'm ready to start our new life," said Elie Cyus.
Zariyah arrived two weeks early - and to make it even more memorable, New Year's Day is also mom's birthday.
"It was the best birthday gift I could ever ask for: a healthy, beautiful, baby," said Davis.
Zariyah's two older sisters and grandma can't wait to help out. "I'm going to take care of her and feed her, her bottle," said Grandma very proud of the three generations of women.
Even though Breonda didn't spend her New Year's as expected -- she is ready to celebrate with her new addition.
"Everybody is excited just as much as I am. Now we're going to have cake and ice cream here at the hospital," said Breonda.
