BOCA RATON, Fla. - It appears 165 trees marked for removal in suburban Boca Raton will be spared.
Palm Beach County engineers considered cutting down the trees when they were deemed a hazard to a nearby walking path. A plan is now in place to trim roots and move or raise the path were needed so no one trips.
The community of Loggers Run has a contract with the county to maintain the trees so they're not a hazard.
The final approval for the plan is pending.
