Nedeige Pluviose arrested for throwing boiling water on teen, Monroe Co. Sheriff's Office says

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. - A 32-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday after police say she threw boiling water on a teenage girl.

According to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Nadeige Pluvoise refused to speak with investigators about the incident that resulted in a 14-year-old female being treated for second and third degree burns.

A witness told detectives he heard screaming and saw Pluvoise running from a room where the teen had been sleeping, carrying a plastic cup in her hand. The witness told detectives he went into the kitchen and found the stove still hot.

Detectives say the teen tried to use home remedies to treat her burns until someone reported the incident to the Child Abuse Hotline. The teen was later transported to Lower Keys Hospital for treatment.

Deputies are not saying what the relation between Pluvoise and the teen is at this time.

Pluvoise faces charges of aggravated child abuse.
