More than 20 inches of rain from Tropical Storm Debby bring Live Oak to a standstill

LIVE OAK, Fla. -- After more than 20 inches of rain from Tropical Storm Debby, the town of Live Oak is at a standstill.

Several major roads and intersections are under feet of water. Cars that stalled in the water overnight remain stuck, and will have to wait for the water to recede to be removed.

Some homeowners still have several inches of water covering their floors. Sandbags that were useless against Debby's rain are underwater outside.

City crews are desperately running pipeline and other equipment to suck water out of yards and streets.

Residents say this is the worst flooding since Hurricane Dora in 1964.
