Michelle Nicholas: 'Sweetheart Scammer' arrested by the Broward County Sheriff's Office

WILTON MANORS, Fla. - The Broward Sheriff's Office arrested a woman suspected of seducing an 82-year-old man and swindling him out of thousands of dollars while the two were on a romantic weekend while the man's wife was out of town.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Michelle Nicholas is facing grand theft and exploitation of the elderly for her involvement in what deputies are deeming a "sweetheart scam" where the suspect feigned romantic interests in the victim to gain thousands of dollars in goods and services.

According to investigators, Nicholas went on a trip to the Keys on March 24th with the man while his wife was out of town. Deputies say the man gets "easily confused" and has mental limitations due to his age.

While on their vacation, the man bought Nicholas a $13,000 Rolex watch.

Nicholas also opened a credit card using the man's name with her as an additional card holder.

On March 29th, the man bought Nicholas a 2006 Lexus for $25,877.

Nicholas is being held on a $30,000 bond.
