Miami police officer, lieutenant caught on camera fighting

MIAMI - Video captured two Miami police officers getting into a fight along the side of a highway.

It happened a few weeks ago when Officer Marcel Jackson pulled over a driver for speeding.

Jackson says the altercation happened after the driver refused to show him his driver's license.

But Jackson didn’t know the man in the car was Miami Internal Affairs Lt. David Ramras.

"The sad thing is that people will be judging Miami's finest, the whole police force, because of those two cops hitting each other," said Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado.

A spokesperson for the Miami Police Department said Jackson has been relieved of his duty pending the outcome of the investigation, while Ramras has been reassigned to a special investigation unit.

The Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney is reviewing the case.
