Marissa Alexander back in court

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- A Florida woman who received a lengthy sentence for firing what she claims was a warning shot during a fight with her estranged husband is back in court to argue she should have a second stand your ground hearing.

Marissa Alexander is back in a Jacksonville courtroom on Tuesday.

Alexander was convicted and sentenced to 20 years on charges that she fired a gun at Rico Gray and two of his children. She called it a warning shot.

She was denied immunity under the state's self-defense law, better known as the stand your ground law.

The conviction was overturned, and she's scheduled for a July 28th trial.
