Maria Claudia Murphy of Coral Springs disappears, family 'baffled'

The family of Maria Claudia Murphy, 45, is still searching for her.

She has been missing since Friday afternoon, said her husband Frank Murphy. Her credit and debit cards and SunPass have not been used, and she doesn't have her cell phone with her.

Police think Murphy could be in danger and ask anyone with information about Murphy or her car — a 2005 black BMW 330ci two-door convertible with Florida tag LZS159 — to call Detective Chris Collins at 954-346-1262 or the Police Department at 954-344-1800.

Frank Murphy said he has put up fliers, checked with hospitals and done everything in his power to find his wife, but police had no leads on Sunday night.

"We're baffled," he said. "Honestly we've done everything we can do, to the point where we just don't know what else to do. There's not much more you can do."

Murphy is 45 years old, 5 feet 10, weighs about 170 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen crossing Copans Road on Friday afternoon.
