Marcus Crossland: Man who kicked skateboarding son down a ramp won't face charges

Incident was caught on video

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Florida stepfather who pushed his six-year-old stepson off a skateboard ramp has been cleared and will not face charges.

Marcus Crossland was seen  in video pushing his stepson off the nine foot skateboard ramp with his foot.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation into this case and concluded that because Crossland - who has no previous record - completed anger control classes and parenting skills classes, no further action will be taken by their department.

The sheriff's department says it must be conservative in deciding to make parental acts criminal.

The Department of Children and Family Services has up to 60 days to complete its investigation.
