A Broward County man is facing charges after authorities say he was caught snorting heroin in a car with a pregnant woman while a 3-year-old child was with them.

Robert Bonaiuto, 38, was arrested at the 7-Eleven at 4800 S. State Road 7 in Hollywood Monday night on charges of child neglect without great bodily harm and possession of heroin, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office arrest report.

Bonaiuto appeared in court Tuesday where he was ordered held on $2,000 bond. No attorney information was available.

The arrest report said a BSO crime suppression team was at the 7-Eleven when Bonaiuto parked his Ford Expedition in the parking lot. Detectives watched as Bonaiuto, another man and the woman snorted heroin, the report said.

As detectives approached the SUV, Bonaiuto tried to shove an Advil bottle between the seats, the report said. They also discovered that a 3-year-old child was in the vehicle.

"I can get you guys whatever you need, I just don't want to go to jail," Bonaiuto said, according to the report. "Man I relapsed and started using heroin again."

Detectives found 10 baggies of heroin inside the Advil bottle, the report said. They also found two plastic baggies that had been dropped out of the SUV with heroin residue inside, the report said.

Hollywood Fire Rescue responded to evaluate the child's health, and the child's mother was allowed to take the kid home. The report said the woman who was snorting heroin in the car is four months pregnant with twins.
