BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - A Brooksville man was arrested after police say he swung two swords at customers in the parking lot of a Hernando County Walmart.

Police responded to a weapons disturbance at the Walmart located at 7305 Broad Street. The store manager had called to report a person swinging swords towards customers in the parking lot.

When officers arrived, they found Shannon Schenck with two swords on him, and he appeared to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

In the investigation, they discovered Schenck was in a fighting stance and unsheathed the swords while approaching customers getting out of their cars.

Schenck had marijuana on him and a glass pipe with marijuana residue.

He has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana (less than 20 grams) and three counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
