A traffic stop led deputies to 11 trash bags of freshly-harvested marijuana plants with a street value estimated at more than $1 million.

Lee County Sheriff's Deputies tried to pull over a van on Interstate-75 Wednesday afternoon for illegal window tint, but the driver took off.

He eventually pulled over near Bayshore Road, and headed into a heavily wooded area.

Sheriff's deputies say the driver, 51-year-old Carlos Aguilar of Miami, was found in the woods a short time later.

Inside the van, investigators said the marijuana plants they found ended up weighing 355 pounds.

Deputies arrested Aguilar for trafficking marijuana over 25 lbs, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, and resisting arrest.
