TAMPA (AP) -- An Arizona woman is seeking to obtain the estate of her son, who authorities say shot his wife and children before killing himself in a Tampa-area mansion that belonged to a former tennis star.
The Tampa Bay Times reports Mary Catherine Campbell filed paperwork in Hillsborough County probate court on June 6. She says she's the only surviving heir to her son's estate.
Authorities say 49-year-old Darrin Campbell set off $600 of fireworks in the $1.6 million home he was renting from retired tennis player James Blake in the early morning hours of May 7. The bodies of Campbell, his 51-year-old wife Kimberly, 18-year-old Collin and 16-year-old Megan were found inside.
In the court documents, Mary Campbell appointed her son Dale as her representative.
