Iren Gonczi was not in the country Aug. 17 when a camera caught her daughter's Toyota turning right on red without stopping.
The Scion is registered in the name of both women, but Gonczi got the citation.
She would have been off the hook had she said who was driving that day. Instead, she asked her son-in-law Mark Sierens, who lives in Davie, to fight the ticket for her.
Had they lost, it would have added $100 to the tab.
