BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. - A hawk is being nursed back to health in South Florida.
A motorist spotted the injured bird along a stretch of Alligator Alley.
Doctor Renata Schneider, with the Wildlife Care Center, believes the red shouldered hawk suffered a head injury.
“His head is held in an inverted position right now, and he's just really weak and appears stunned, and his left eye is being held closed,” Dr. Schneider said.
The hawk is expected to spend a few weeks at the Wildlife Care Center recovering from its injuries.
