MONROE COUNTY, Fla. -- Detectives are investigating the discovery of coat hooks with hidden cameras that were found in three women's restrooms.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the devices are available online as "home security devices," and have a tiny camera concealed in them.  They use motion sensors to begin recording.

The cameras have been found in three location in the Upper Keys:

  • Anne’s Beach in Islamorada on May 26
  • The Circle K Store at the 99.8 mile marker on May 28
  • Harry Harris Park in Tavernier on May 31

“Anyone who has a public restroom on their property needs to check them closely,” said Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “If you find anything suspicious you think might contain a hidden camera, don’t touch it. Call us right away and we will respond."

Detectives continue to investigate who is responsible for installing the cameras.
