SANFORD, Fla. -- George Zimmerman went to the doctor with a broken nose, black eyes and two cuts on his head the day after he killed Trayvon Martin, the Miami Herald reports .
But according to the Herald report , Zimmerman's doctor determined he didn't suffer any head trauma.
New medical reports examined by the Miami Herald show that Zimmerman declined to go to an ear, nose and throat specialist even though his doctor recommended it.
According to the documents, Zimmerman was 5 feet 7½ inches and 204 lbs when he was examined after the shooting. The doctor described him as "obese."
The Miami Herald reports the doctor said Zimmerman had two cuts on his head, but they did not require stitches.
Zimmerman remains behind bars, as a Florida judge decides whether to let him out on bond.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Martin.
His initial bail was revoked when he did not disclose thousands of dollars in donations he received from the public to fight his case.
Defense Attorney Mark O'Mara called a financial expert to testify why Zimmerman was transferring money between several bank accounts before his first bond hearing.
"There's no question that they had $130,000 or $150,000, that when the issue was presented, Shellie Zimmerman didn't answer as truthfully as she should have," O'Mara told CNN. "We're dealing with the fall out from that. But the reason why I brought the expert in is to say not a penny of that money is missing. I think that's at least as relevant as to why they were bouncing it back and forth $9,000 at a time."
Zimmerman maintains he shot Martin self-defense.
