George Zimmerman mom Gladys Zimmerman interview video: Zimmerman's mom appears on Piers Morgan

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The case against the man who shot and killed Florida teenager Trayvon Martin will soon be heading back to court.

Attorneys for George Zimmerman will ask the judge to give them access to Martin's school and social media records.

Zimmerman -- a neighborhood watch leader - shot and killed the 17-year-old in February.

Police say Zimmerman profiled and chased the African-American teenager in his Sanford neighborhood.

But, Zimmerman says he shot Martin in self-defense, after the teen attacked him.

Zimmerman's mother talked exclusively with CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight in her first television interview.

Morgan asked her if she's thought about what will happen if her son is found guilty of second-degree murder.

"I believe in the judicial system," says Gladys Zimmerman, George Zimmerman's Mother. "I believe from the beginning that, you know, he is innocent, and I mean, the media had played a big role against my son. They had portrayed him in a bad -- bad picture. But there is justice in America, and I believe in justice."

Zimmerman's attorneys are also asking to delay the trial proceedings.

They say they have as many as 75 more witness depositions to complete before they're ready to go to trial.
